Hi folks! White Feather founder Holly here with a super exciting announcement for you all…I’m thrilled to let you all know that we are moving back into Bridgwater Town Centre! And, what makes this move even better, is that we’re taken over the reigns from our friends at Purplespoon on the go. When I heard that Kate, of Purplespoon fame, was moving on, I thought it was the perfect opportunity for us to swoop on in and pick up where she left off.
It’s been 5 years since we had a space in the Town Centre and our business has changed dramatically during that time. Gone are the days of smashed avocado and poached eggs, these days, with cafes at the Innovation Centre on Bristol Road and at Bath Spa Railway Station, we focus on a “grab and go” offering, sourcing locally where possible, offering the highest quality produce and service, and, of course, the very best in speciality coffee.

This decision is very much one of the heart. Being Bridgwater born and bread, both personally and White Feather as a business, it’s great to be able to share our brand more freely with the people of Bridgwater. Taking over from Kate adds to the warm fuzzy feeling of the move. As businesses and business owners, many would have had us down as arch rivals, but sharing space in our industry has been the foundation of a wonderful friendship.
I have so much respect for Kate and all that she has achieved, I’ll never forget the day that she walked into our cafe at the Watergate and one of the team muttered under their breath “that’s Kate from Purplespoon!” From that point on our friendship has flourished. There’s been many a time that I’ve relied on Kate as a trusted confidant to bounce ideas off of, chew the, often very chewy, fat of our challenging industry together, and share joy in our own personal achievements – from babies to weddings, all whilst keeping our many business related plates spinning – we’ve shared it all! I’m excited for Kate and her new shiny path ahead, and I know that she will always be there as my fellow hospitality business running mum and confidant.

Here’s what Kate had to say about it all; “I’m absolutely delighted to be passing the baton to Holly, a fellow business owner, dear friend, and someone who’s built a truly fantastic brand. She’s more than deserving of the prime position that 9 High Street offers, and I’m already looking forward to popping in regularly – this time as a customer, coffee in hand!”
Looking ahead to the future for White Feather and our new High Street outlet, customers will be able to enjoy a premium grab and go offering; from breakfast and lunch items, to cakes and snacks, and exceptional coffee of course! We’ll also be retailing our much talked about merchandise offering. But perhaps the best news for the Purplespoon On The Go fans amongst you – MONIKA IS STAYING PUT! We’re thrilled to have her on board as part of the White Feather family.
We’re hoping to launch the site in September 2025, but keep your eyes on our social media platforms and website for the latest updates on our progress.
