Two coffee shops open at EDF HQ for Hinkley

05.01.2021

At The White Feather Coffee Co, we are thrilled to announce that we have opened two new sites at Somerset Energy Innovation Centre in Bridgwater. We have been operating from the Innovation Centre since January 2017, however, during lock down the buildings, which have always been linked to the Hinkley Project, were taken over by EDF.

As of January 2021, The White Feather Coffee Co. have been the operators of two newly refurbished cafe spaces as a Tier 2 Contractor to the Hinkley Project. Both cafes serve breakfast and lunch items, as well as hot and cold drinks and snacks to EDF employees and other members of the workforce linked to the Hinkley Project.

White Feather Coffee Founder, Holly Buckingham, said “it’s a huge honour to be appointed as a Tier 2 Contractor for the Project. EDF and all of the businesses surrounding the Project demand only the best from all aspects of the project – and the food and drink which they choose to fuel their working day with is no exception to this!”

The buildings are not exclusive to the employees working within them – members of the general public are also welcome. Both cafes are open from 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.
